The village of Rodes where the house is situated is half way between the sea and the high mountains (both 30 minutes drive away) and just under an hour’s drive from the Spanish border. A favourite area for walkers, golfers, climbers and skiers, it enjoys on average 310 days of sunshine a year and is therefore an ideal destination for Spring or Autumn breaks, Summer or Ski holidays. Apart from its tennis court, two petanque courts, football field and playground for young children, this authentic village has a restaurant, a post-office and a small supermarket. Bigger supermarkets can be found in neighbouring villages about 10 minutes drive away. The nearest airport to Rodes is Perpignan (25 minutes drive away).
