Rodes is well situated for a multitude of activities such as walking, climbing, golfing, skiing, swimming (there’s a lake only 5 minutes drive away), cycling, canyoning, fishing, potholing and excursions into the mountains. There are spas nearby in Molitg les Bains and Vernet les Bains. The Mediterranean is only 30 minutes away. There are zoos and a safari park in the neighbourhood. In the summertime there are music and film festivals in the town of Prades. The region is also famous for its romanesque churches (Saint Martin du Canigou, Saint Michel de Cuxa and the Prieuré de Serrabonne) and picturesque villages like Eus, Castelnou and Villefranche.
